   Learning to dive is fun and can be stress-free too! We believe in training our students for a life-time of enjoyment in the underwater environment. Classes are available to accomodate a multitude of schedules and experiences. If you are already an Open Water diver, consider taking one of our many speciality courses. If you are new to diving we offer certification courses to begin your adventure as well as a "Try Scuba" class to see if Scuba is right for you.  

 

Open Water Certification Classes: The basic! Learn to dive safely and efficiently. The next available class is scheduled for March 1, 2008. This is a 6 week course that involves both classroom study and pool training.

Enriched Air Nitrox: Safer, cleaner and just plain better than Air. Nitrox is the preferred gas mixture for serious divers but recreational divers have noted many benefits from the use of Nitrox over air. Sign up for our Nitrox class and explore all the advantages of this cutting edge technology. Classes scheduled for January 10 and February 12.

Stress and Rescue Diver: Do you know what to do in an emergency? Do you have CPR and AED training? Learn to detect the signs of stress and how to handle emergency situations both above and below the surface. Class begins February 5, space is limited so sign up now.

Boat Diving, Wreck Diving and Deep Diving: We offer a bundled package for these specialities. North Carolina is a haven for shipwrecks. Off the coast you will find Civil War era wrecks up to present day. Learn to navigate a "Carolina Rig", best practices for current and surge, extend your depth range to 130 feet. In a word, XPLORE! This is a very comprehenive course designed to maximize your diving potential. Current classes are scheduled to begin January 23.

 
 
 
 
 
By affiliating with Scuba Schools International (SSI), we will share our love of Scuba in a safe, responsible manner to individuals wishing to broaden their understanding of Scuba or of the ever-changing and facinating underwater environment, making the experience exciting, educational and motivating.  
    Underwater Navigation: Finding your way around underwater is a skill well worth learning. Learn to read and understand your compass and find your way around the selected dive site and back to the boat or shore safely. Excellent tips and tricks to benefit all divers.
